Is the Equal Rights Amendment needed?

Are men and women interchangeable in all situations? Are there any differences between men and women or should the United States become a completely sex-neutral society? The Equal Rights Amendment is a relic from a hundred years ago, but the Illinois legislature just made it a current topic by voting to pass that old amendment. Not enough states have passed ERA to put it in the U.S. Constitution and it should be stopped. ERA is not needed and if it were to be ratified, ERA would harm women and harm our country.

Roe v Wade

What Can We Do About Roe v. Wade?

With a new Supreme Court nominee on the docket, one of the biggest questions from both the right and the left is, “Will Brett Kavanaugh overturn Roe v. Wade?” Liberals have used this question to strike fear among their base while Conservatives have used it to conjure up hope to protect the unborn. However, Republicans have opportunities to scale back this law while waiting on a full repeal.

Thank President Trump for Defunding Abortion

Pro-life Americans can rally behind Friday’s executive action that should stop Title X funding going to Planned Parenthood for abortions!  We received word from the White House that President Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services is filing a proposal to protect life in the Title X Family Planning Grant Program. HHS will file with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a proposal to update the regulations governing the Title X program to ensure compliance with the program’s statutory prohibition on taxpayer funding of programs where abortion is a method of family planning.

Stop ERA

Because ERA Harms Our Unborn Children

The Equal Rights Amendment is a poorly worded proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would restrict all laws and practices that make any distinctions based on gender or sex. While we believe in equal opportunity for men and women, we also recognize that there are situations where we must make distinctions based on our biological differences. It is foolish to deny biology in pursuit of “equality.” If the ERA ever becomes part of our constitution, men and women could not be treated differently, even if the different treatment is due to physical differences such as pregnancy.

Stop Obamacare Bailout!

Congress is moving on the newest budget bill to avoid a government shutdown by March 23. Even with a Republican majority in both the House and Senate, we may not see a Conservative budget.  One of those reasons is that Leadership is considering a bailout of Obamacare. Remind Congress that we elected them to end Obamacare, NOT bailout Obamacare.

Contact Your Congressman Now: Vote YES to Save Born Alive Babies

The House will vote this week on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 4712).  This is a necessary pro-life bill that will require medical professionals to perform life-saving measures, including transportation to a hospital, to save a baby that has been born alive during an abortion. Criminal penalties are outlined for those who do not attempt to save the child’s life.  It also gives the woman a right of action in these circumstances.

Born ALIVE Following Saline Abortion

I wish to appeal not only to those present within this chamber today, but to my nation. We are here to discuss infanticide. I am greatly troubled that this hearing is even necessary, and that such a law to prevent infanticide must be constructed in the United States of America at all.
