Frances Arthur Leads Student Eagles

The Eagle Forum Board voted at its monthly meeting to approve the nomination of Frances Arthur to Chair the National Student Eagles program.

Frances Arthur

Frances is an ideal choice for this chairmanship since she has taught high school, middle school, and elementary school in public, homeschool, and homeschool cooperative settings over the last 30 years. As a lifelong learner, she has developed a skill set which allows her to effectively teach government, politics, economics, American and world history. She frequently serves as a judge for local speech and debate tournaments.

Involved with so many worthy endeavors, Frances says that her favorite volunteer work is serving with Tennessee Eagle Forum as the Student Eagle Director, teaching high school students across the state how to participate in their government effectively. Frances has served in this role since 2011.

Field Trip May 1-5, 2019Student Eagle Chairman Frances Arthur is planning a field trip to Washington DC next year through her nonprofit organization My America Tours. The dates for this are May 1-5, 2019. To participate in this trip, students are required to either attend or use Skype to participate in regular classes to prepare for the trip. Students are also required to develop a notebook that will serve as their guidebook during the trip. Frances will explain how to do this and expects parents to oversee the development of them.

For students who are departing from the Nashville International Airport, the cost of this trip is $680 and includes airfare, hotel (with four people per room), all ground transportation, fees for locations, gratuities, a full-time tour guide, and all trip planning. For more information on this trip, visit the website at My America Tours or email Frances at
