Pray for Israel

Today, we remember with solemnity the tragedy of October 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists launched a brutal attack on Israelis, murdering and abducting innocent civilians and inflicting unimaginable pain on families and communities.

We honor the lives lost, remember the hostages, and pray for all those whose lives were forever changed. On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to pray for peace, security, and justice for Israel and all innocent people affected by terrorism and war.

We encourage you to listen to Randy Osborne, Florida Eagle Forum President and author of the new book In the Name of God: How Faith, Politics, and Fear Rekindled an Ancient Hatred, who spoke last month at Eagle Council 54.

His speech, The New Information War: How Anti-Israel Propaganda Is Fracturing the Conservative Movement, can be viewed here.

In his presentation, he reminds us that anti-Israel activism has gained influence within the progressive political movement and warns that antisemitism is now being repackaged to appeal to some on the right.  He cautions that anti-Israel propaganda can fracture the conservative coalition by turning legitimate policy disagreements into hostility toward an entire people and by replacing fact-based debate with political tribalism.

Randy makes clear that legitimate conservative debates over foreign aid, military intervention, national sovereignty, and Israeli government policy must be distinguished from propaganda that assigns collective guilt to Jewish people, promotes conspiracy theories, or relies on distorted history. He concludes by urging us all to challenge candidates, influencers, and conservative organizations to defend America First policies without resorting to antisemitism, historical revisionism, or collective blame.
