Alton, Ill. – Eagle Forum, the conservative grassroots organization founded by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972, honors President Trump and Senate conservatives for keeping the President’s promise to fill judicial vacancies with nominees who respect the Constitution and uphold the rule of law, as the Senate confirmed the 200th of President Trump’s judicial nominees.
Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly noted in the forward to her book, The Supremacists, that judicial nominees will determine the future of self-government in America. Schlafly warned that judges who do not respect the Constitution and the rule of law is the most serious issue facing our political system.
“President Trump and Senate conservatives understand the vital and lasting impact federal judges at all levels will have on our nation for decades to come,” said Eagle Forum President Colleen Holcomb. “We are so thankful to the President and Senate leadership for keeping their promise to America by making the filling of judicial vacancies a top priority, and we honor the remarkable staff who have worked tirelessly to vet and confirm well-qualified nominees.”
“The legacy of judicial appointments can be a gift or a curse that will impact our children’s children,” said Holcomb. “Eagle Forum thanks the Trump Administration and Senate conservatives, and urges continued vigilance in screening candidates.”
