Prayers for President and First Lady

News broke this morning that both President Trump and the First Lady, Melania Trump, tested positive for COVID-19. Make no mistake, the mainstream media will politicize the Trumps’ diagnosis. As CNN reported:

“The President made the announcement of his positive test on Twitter at nearly 1 a.m. ET on Friday and the development — after months of debilitating losses, set against a badly mismanaged federal response overseen by a commander-in-chief who repeatedly downplayed the crisis — threw fresh turmoil into the country’s leadership at a moment of deep national strain.”

President Trump is on the front lines defending our American values. He and the First Lady have a thankless job. They are under a constant attack by the Left. While the President and the First Lady rest and heal, we ask that you also join us in campaigning on his behalf. Please consider contacting your local Republican party to assist in door knocking, distributing signs, posting on social media, and then lastly, encourage your friends and family to do the same.

We can also help the President and First Lady through prayer and supplication. This is a moment that we come together to lift them up in prayer so they can continue to lead our nation. Just last week, thousands of Americans took the streets of Washington, D.C. to pray for the country. It was a testament to the nation’s faith, and we rejoice in the goodness of our Lord and Savior. Please join us in prayer for President Trump and the First Lady.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for your goodness, peace, and deep care for your children. I pray today for President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump. I ask that you guide their leadership and that they would seek your wisdom in their decision-making. Lord, I pray for a relief from the stress of the office, especially now that they have contracted COVID-19. Father as you say in Psalm 121:

121 I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
² My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
³ He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
⁴ Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
⁵ The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
⁶ The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
⁷ The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
⁸ The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

Lord, may they remember that their help comes from you. Please grant them a speedy recovery and may they be able to use this time to rest on your promises.
