Celebrating Eagle Council

The flying Eagles gathered, 
From all across the land.
They soared into St Louis,
To answer the command.

The annual meeting started,
The pace was swift and clear.
The information garnered,
Would enhance the coming year. 

Their flocks back home were anxious,
For details and facts to share.  
With truth they are courageous,
Defending their own lair.

Some words were hard to swallow,
Others were sweet and pure.
The knowledge brings new power,
That they would quickly secure.   

They built each other up,
With blessings from above.
Strategies were discussed,
And old friends shared their love. 

Each speaker had a nugget, 
Some with warnings to beware.  
The atmosphere was charged,
Some words were hard to bear.

The Country’s in the balance,
Tough times do lie ahead.
But these Eagles with reliance, 
Face the future without dread. 

Their faith will sustain them,
No matter what will come.
They are called by their Creator,
To stand firm and never run.
