Let’s ask: Did all that money get results or was it squandered? If we could have a re-do, would we spend it again? When government spends our money, there is always graft and corruption. Billions of taxpayers dollars were given to pharmaceutical companies, vaccine distribution, and even electric transportation.
Meanwhile, our economy was shut down, our parents were imprisoned, and our children missed two years of education.
The amount of money spent by taxpayer money in the name of “Covid” was more than our entire 2019 Federal budget. This excessive spending is not good, but an albatross on our future.
We now have run-away inflation and a host of civil disruptions:
- When the government prints and spends money, the result is inflation.
- When government pays people not to work, which puts pressure to increase wages to lure workers, the result is inflation for everyone.
- When government tells renters to stop paying rent, the result is a shortage of housing as landlords stop renting.
- When government stops prosecuting “petty” crimes, the result is an increase of shoplifting, car-jacking, and traffic fatalities.
$4,520,000,000,000. Read that enormous sum of money and weep.
