Contact Your Representative to Vote “No” on House Resolution to Oppose the President’s Agenda
In July 2017, the President announced that the U.S. military would no longer accept transgender individuals. Those who suffer from gender dysphoria and have received treatment, including sex-reassignment surgery, were found to adversely impact military readiness. Because of mental health issues and physical medical needs, the military would have to place others at risk to accommodate them in the U.S. military.
Since then, Democrats have tried to stop this directive every step of the way. Several lawsuits were filed against the policy, but the Supreme Court ruled in January to uphold it. The directive is set to take effect on April 12th.
Still, Democrats refuse to let this go. They have drafted a resolution full of false information to condemn this policy and will vote on it this week. Instead of working on important pieces of legislation that could help American families and improve the economy, Congress is voting on a resolution that will not result in anything.
