Tell Congress – Obama Must Enforce the Law!

July 28, 2014

Amnesty’s appeal dims each day, as Americans see an out-of-control southern border and witness the hypocrisy of big tech companies demanding more workers. Yet President Obama refuses to back away from his vow to ignore even more immigration laws. Through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, modeled on the DREAM Act Congress refused to pass, he has already taken deportations off the table for thousands of illegals and instead granted them work permits. Now he is considering extending the program to millions more. Such a display of lawlessness in the middle of our border crisis makes a mockery of the president’s oath of office and betrays the millions of Americans out of work or underemployed.

But there is still time for our voices to be heard. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), a champion in the fight against amnesty, is urging Americans to call their senators and representatives:

The American people have begged and pleaded for years for our laws to be enforced.  We have people in our own country living in violence, fear, and poverty every single day.  They have demanded an immigration policy that puts their jobs, wages, and communities first. Every citizen should pick up the phone and ask of their congressional representative: where do you stand?

Because the president chooses to listen only to open-borders enthusiasts and special-interest groups, it is imperative that Congress hear from you.

Take Action! (This alert requires no further action at this time.)

We need to know whether Congress will stand up for the rule of law and American workers. Call and email your senators and representatives today. Urge them to defund DACA and stop President Obama from pursuing any more violations of our immigration laws.

Message sent to Congress:

We urge you to stand up to President Obama and make him enforce our immigration laws. His executive actions on amnesty hurt the economic prospects of millions of Americans and undermine the rule of law.

Although President Obama has not yet announced further laws which he will refuse to enforce, Congress can put a stop now to one of his earlier lawless programs, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Congress should defund DACA, sending President Obama the message that violating our immigration laws is a serious offense.

The crisis on our southern border demonstrates the destructive consequences of amnesty. Congress has let President Obama get away with nullifying immigration laws for too long. Now is the time to tell him: no more.
