Eagle Forum will host a Lobby Day on Thursday, September 28th beginning with a short briefing at the hotel at 8:30 am. This will be a great opportunity for you to connect with your elected officials in the United States House and Senate. If you haven’t made appointments with your legislators, you still have time! Check out our cheat sheet on how to set up a meeting with your representatives.
We also want to suggest some topics to cover during your meeting. So far, there are three issues at the top of our list: the National Defense Authorization Act, Appropriations, and the Kids Online Safety Act. Please review each document so you can feel confident in presenting your stance on these bills to your lawmakers.
Below you will find a backgrounder on the current status and contents of each bill. There is also a one-page handout to give to your Congressmen and/or Senators. Those will be identifiable by the Eagle Forum letterhead. Hard copies will be available at the briefing.
