Alton, IL – Eunie Smith, President of Eagle Forum, is delighted to announce that Pat Daugherty, Ed.D. of Bishop, Georgia has been unanimously approved by the Board of Directors to be the new editor of a weekly online newsletter called Eagle Forum Insights.
Pat has lived in Georgia for more than 20 years, and she worked in College Student Affairs for 36 years before recently retiring from the University of Georgia. She has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, a Master’s degree from Ohio State University, and a doctorate from the University of Alabama. In addition to her years of working with college students, she was a consultant in leadership and management training, organizational development, interpersonal communication, and public speaking.
Pat is Past President and current Program Chairman for Conservative Republican Women of Northeast Georgia. She is the Georgia liaison with FreedomWorks in Washington, D.C. and serves on its Activist Advisory Council. Pat has been a delegate for several years to the Georgia Republican Party state convention, a member of the convention planning committee, and the director of convention volunteers. In addition, she is a member of the Georgia Republican Assembly and served as a delegate to its recent state convention. In 2016 she was a candidate for the Georgia State Senate. Active in pro-family issues since 2009, Pat has specifically worked in the areas of education, privacy rights against intrusive governmental data collection, and religious liberty.
