Eagle Forum PAC is pleased to endorse Emily Jones to represent District 8 on the Alabama State Board of Education.
Emily Jones is committed to academic excellence for all Alabama schoolchildren — in reading, writing, math, and science. Jones also supports “restoring real-life skills — like home economics, financial literacy, and shop class — that teach students how to be capable and independent.”
She understands that schools need to focus on the universal values of honesty, respect, kindness, and responsibility, and not introduce worldviews or belief systems that run counter to what parents are teaching at home. She affirms the right of parents to know and see what their children are being taught.
“Emily Jones brings an important perspective to the Board of Education — that of a mother,” stated Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman. “While digging deeper into her son’s academic struggles, she was met with resistance when she tried to view the school curriculum and have her questions answered. She decided to run for the State School Board to make sure that all parents have these rights. As a mother, Emily knows the crucial role that parents play in ensuring their children’s success.”
