PRESS RELEASE

July 11, 2020

Eagle Forum PAC, the conservative Political Action Committee founded by Phyllis Schlafly, urges Alabama voters to support Jeff Sessions in Tuesday’s Run-off.

Jeff Sessions“Throughout the years, Eagle Forum has worked very closely with Jeff Sessions and his remarkable team,” said Eagle Forum President Colleen Holcomb. “Sessions has an unparalleled wealth of experience and insight into the most pressing issues facing our nation during this unique time in history.”

Tucker Carlson recently urged Alabamans to support Sessions because of his established record of standing up for our great nation.

Calling Sessions “one of the few politicians he respects,” Carlson noted that Sessions stood up against leadership — even his own party’s leadership when they were pushing an amnesty bill for illegal immigrants. He opposed intervening in Syria against a president who saved Christians in his country.  He opposed broadening America’s presence in Afghanistan.

“As we at Eagle Forum have closely observed throughout the years, Sessions has a demonstrated record of bold leadership particularly on the Judiciary, Banking and Commerce, and Armed Services Committees,”  said Holcomb.  “Sessions’ staff and he have been our go-to leaders on Capitol Hill on issues Americans care about most.  We know that we can count on Jeff Sessions to be able to hit the ground running with the wisdom these perilous times demand, especially on issues like defending our borders, protecting our civil liberties, ensuring fiscal stability,y and vetting judicial and Supreme Court nominees.”

“It is rare to have a seasoned lawmaker who has not fallen into the “go along to get along” Washington Establishment mentality. But that’s just not who Jeff Sessions is.”  Holcomb concluded, “Sessions’ wisdom and experience is undergirded by the kind of tried and tested humility, the strength of character and conviction that his constituents can trust, and that our country so desperately needs.”
