The Republican Party Platform states that it will continue to enthusiastically support President Trump’s America-first agenda. The Party makes it clear that Republicans depend on the innate optimism, resourcefulness, and energy of the American people.
The GOP espouses that the independent nature of Americans coupled with a dependency on Almighty God are driving forces that make us the freest and greatest country in the world. It continues, “We believe in American exceptionalism. We affirm, as did the Declaration of Independence, that all are created equal, endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We believe our constitutional system of limited government, separation of powers, federalism, and the rights of the people must be preserved uncompromised for future generations.”
The GOP further states, “This platform is optimistic because the American people are optimistic. Every time we sing, ‘God Bless America,’ we are asking for help. We ask for divine help that our country can fulfill its promise. We earn that help by recommitting ourselves to the ideas and ideals that are the true greatness of America.”
The Democrat Party, in contrast, focuses on dependence on the government for prosperity, rather than on individual achievement. It emphasizes diversity that divides people according to racial, ethnic, economic, geographic, education, and gender, which leads to socialism, communism, and totalitarian rule.
The Democrat Platform states, “Americans believe that diversity is our greatest strength. That protest is among the highest forms of patriotism. That our fates and fortunes are bound to rise and fall together. Democrats will forge a new social and economic contract with the American people — a contract that creates millions of new jobs and promotes shared prosperity, closes racial gaps in income and wealth, guarantees the right to join or form a union, raises wages, and ensures equal pay for women and paid family leave for all, and safeguards a secure and dignified retirement.
Democrats will fight to repair the soul of this nation. To unite and to heal our country. To turn this crisis into a crucible, from which we will forge a stronger, brighter, and more equitable future. We must right the wrongs in our democracy, redress the systemic injustices that have long plagued our society, throw open the doors of opportunity for all Americans, and reinvent our institutions at home and our leadership abroad.”
