Fear of Islamophobia Can Harm U.S.
Is concern about jihad terror just “Islamophobia”? The FBI reports that in 2016, there were “1,584 victims of anti-religious hate crimes,” and that “54.4 percent were victims of crimes motivated by their offenders’ anti-Jewish bias,” while “24.5 percent were victims of anti-Islamic (Muslim) bias.”

American interest in Islam was piqued on September 11, 2001, when 19 Islamic men hijacked four commercial airliners and used them to kill nearly 3,000 Americans. One terrorist came from Egypt, one from Lebanon, two from the United Arab Emirates and 15 from Saudi Arabia.
