Politicians of all stripes are trying to get on the bandwagon of passing laws to “ban conversion therapy.” Please work to stop these laws from passing, because these new laws harm children. Politicians are not trained therapists nor medical professionals, but they are trying to regulate the speech of counselors.
Politicians should not try to legislate biology. No one can choose to change his or her sex; the chromosomes in the blood forever identify the gender at birth. There is nothing wrong with a therapist helping a child to realize who he is — and not to try to medicate or sterilize the child to fit a “transgender” agenda.
