Transgender
To “Gender Affirm” is to Tell Lies to Children

In 1985, I attended the United Nations World Conference on Women in Nairobi, Kenya. The most pressing issue at that conference was the genital mutilation of girls. I was stunned at how many attendees defended the practice of female genital cutting on the basis of cultural norms and personal ideology.

Fast forward nearly forty years and, again, adults are defending the genital mutilation of children on the basis of cultural norms. We are in an upside-down Alice in Wonderland world where those of us who oppose sterilizing children are slandered as “bigots” and “phobes”. Even the Disney Corporation, whose commercial success is based on innocent entertainment for children, is pressuring politicians to accept transgenderism and the sexual exploitation of children.

I commend the state of Alabama for recently enacting a law to protect children from the permanent harms of puberty blockers, sterilization, and surgeries on healthy tissue. The sexual mutilation of children — whether by pharmaceuticals or surgery — is child abuse. Anyone who participates in “gender affirmation” is telling lies to children. Our book, “Sex, Lies, and Children“, has the gripping testimony at the Alabama legislature from the survivors of such abuse.

In Alabama, their new law applies to children under the age of 19. Interestingly, the Washington Post just published this week an article by Corinna Cohn, who had had sex reassignment surgery at age 19. Cohn deeply regrets having that surgery thirty years ago. “I chose an irreversible change before I’d even begun to understand my sexuality,” Cohn wrote. “I know now that I wasn’t old enough to make that decision.”

I encourage you to speak out against the popular culture that is promoting transgenderism. This ideology is harming children.
