URGENT: Call Senate NOW – don’t fund amnesty

February 3, 2015

Stop Executive AmnestyTODAY (Tuesday) at 2:30 p.m., the Senate will vote to begin debating a bill passed by the House of Representatives (H.R. 240) that funds the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while defunding President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty and winding down the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

As Senator Lee articulated in this floor speech tonight, this vote “is a procedural vote, not a substantive one. The only question on the table is whether or not the Senate is ready to begin debating H.R. 240?”

The American people must know where their Senators stand on President Obama’s continued usurpation of the Congress’s authority, and his complete disregard for the American worker who is hurt most by his illegal actions.

As we reported last week, Democrats in the Senate signed a letter to Republican Leader Mitch McConnell asking him to only consider a “clean” DHS bill, meaning they want to remove the provisions defunding amnesty. Every Senator needs to hear from their constituents!

Please call your Senators NOW! Tell them to vote YES to proceed to the House-passed DHS bill (H.R. 240) and defund President Obama’s executive amnesties!
