This coming weekend in Orlando, the Center for College and Career Readiness will be hosting a two-day conference National Common Core Training conference for educators, school board members, and administrators “to provide high quality, in-depth, professional development opportunities which focus on demands of preparing students to be college and career ready. The conference will address how schools and districts can successfully transition to the Common Core Standards…”

As parents have learned more about the Common Core Standards, a fire is igniting across the nation in opposition to this federal overreach into our state and local school districts. For more information on Common Core, click here.

Florida Parents Against Common Core is hosting a national protest in Orlando, and the expected crowd has grown from 100 Florida Parents to an expected crowd of over 1000. There is confirmation of busloads of parents and grandparents coming in from Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and other states.
