Christians Confronting the Culture Initiative

The new vice-president, Pat Sims, is a U. S. Air Force Academy graduate with a post-graduate year directing the Academy’s Computer War Simulation Center for 4,000 cadets and providing other technological support for cadets and faculty. Now retired at the ripe old age of forty-one, Pat directs the C-130 pilot training simulation program at Abilene’s Dyess AFB. One of his specialties is “How to Organize Your Group to Confront the Culture.”
The Board member who, along with Virginia, was in Blackstone’s Founding group in 1983, is an administrator/faculty member at Texas A & M University, main campus, and a multi-faceted educational expert. Recently named one of the University’s “Top 25 Faculty,” Sharon Haigler focuses her work on such current issues as the “Generation X, Y, etc. distinctives,” and how to effectively address those in teaching.
Another current Board member (Virginia’s pastor) holds five earned degrees including a Ph.D. One of his most compelling presentations is “From Chinese Atheist to American Evangelical Pastor/Patriot.”
“This group not only has already lifted from my shoulders a huge administrative load for Blackstone and freed me up to focus on my calling – research and teaching – but they are capable of teaching in their own areas and also are most eager to further their familiarity with our Blackstone studies as mentored by me so that they can begin teaching more of our unique Blackstone curriculum. Clearly, God has gathered here a most uncommon group of deeply dedicated Christian leaders for a most uncommon time in America’s history,” declared Virginia. “I am incredibly thankful and excited about our future with Eagle Forum in pursuing God’s mission for CCC.”
