Statement by Eagle Forum President, Kristen A. Ullman: On behalf of Eagle Forum, I am pleased to sign the American Sovereignty Declaration and join the Sovereignty Coalition. Eagle Forum was started in 1972 by Phyllis Schlafly, who in addition to being concerned about the traditional pro-family issues, understood the importance of American Sovereignty and independence from international ‘busybodies,’ as she called them.

Babysitting Now Requires a College Degree

Washington, D.C. has rules that require directors of child care centers need a bachelor’s degree in early education, teachers need an associate’s degree in early education, and assistant teachers and caregivers in home-based daycares need a Child Development Associate’s credential. In other words, grandma is not qualified to change a baby’s diaper.

The Senate is poised to vote THIS WEEK on a bill that would strip away our religious freedoms. The House-passed Respect for Marriage Act (H.R. 8404/S. 4556) fully repeals the Clinton-era Defense of Marriage Act which protected states’ rights to maintain the definition of traditional marriage.
