Obama Lunges Toward Global Government

One of the biggest issues in the November election is whether we will continue or stop President Obama’s move toward restricting U.S. sovereignty and rushing down the road to global governance. One would think that the obvious failure of the European Union and disdain for the euro would put the skids on global integration, but no such luck.

Defeat Law of the Sea Treaty – Again

The stunning repudiation of Senator Richard Lugar’s (R-IN) bid for a seventh term has sent shock waves through Washington’s internationalist lobby. A former Rhodes Scholar, Lugar has spent his career promoting a globalist agenda since he succeeded the late Jesse Helms as the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

What’s Coming Up in 2012?

It was bad enough when President Obama bamboozled Congress into passing a Stimulus bill that didn’t produce any jobs, then increased the federal deficit in the 2012 omnibus spending bill, then raised the debt ceiling, then bailed out the big U.S. banks, then tried to bail out his pal Solyndra to try to save it from bankruptcy, and then appointed a Jobs Czar who creates jobs only in China.

Good News from the UN!

After spirited discussions from November 28 to December 11 (including two days of overtime that ended only in the wee hours), the United Nations Climate Change conference in Durban, South Africa failed to achieve its two main goals: producing a new treaty to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol limiting greenhouse gas emissions, and agreeing on a global tax scheme to finance a Green Climate Fund. Hallelujah! Sometimes we get good news from the UN.

UN Mischief from Durban to Rio

Goodbye UNESCO a Model for Goodbye UN

A trigger provision buried in U.S. laws since 1990 quietly took effect at the end of October. The U.S. taxpayers’ annual donation of 22 percent of UNESCO’s budget was summarily terminated when UNESCO voted 107 to 14 (with 52 abstentions) to approve full membership for Palestine.

High Costs of Green Jobs

We are now beginning to grasp the definition and the scope of the words New World Order, an expression inserted into the U.S. political vocabulary by the first President Bush. He never defined it, leaving that task to his successors, and Barack Obama is only too glad to expand its meaning.

Time to Say Goodbye to the WTO

The World Trade Organization just ruled against the United States again. A “dispute resolution panel” of WTO representatives from Pakistan, Portugal and Switzerland ruled that U.S. laws requiring Country Of Origin Labeling (COOL) violate free trade.

Libya and the War Powers Act

One of the reasons leftwingers voted for Barack Obama for President in 2008 was that they opposed the war in Iraq. The anti-war left is disappointed that Obama continued the Iraq war, escalated Afghanistan, and started a new war in Libya.

Time to Freeze Global Warming

The global warming prophets and propagandists, who enjoy living in style on other people’s money, gathered last month in the plush resort of Cancun, Mexico, where January temperatures usually hover around 80 degrees.

Joint Letter on the Kigali Amendment
Eagle Forum signed a joint letter to President Donald J. Trump about the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. This 2016 United Nations treaty negotiated by the Obama Administration would impose restrictions on production of the affordable refrigerants currently used in most types of air conditioning and refrigeration units and necessitate their likely replacement with more expensive alternatives. The result would be higher costs for households, motorists, and businesses that rely on air conditioning and refrigeration. 7-02-18
