Equal Rights Amendment

Stop the Senate from ERAsing Women!

After fifty years, the Equal Rights Amendment is again rearing its ugly head. After a contentious hearing on the ERA last week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to bring legislation (S.J. Res. 4) to the floor to remove the seven-year deadline during the month of March. While proponents claim that this amendment will give women “rights,” it actually does the opposite.

House Delivers a Win for Girls’ Sports

The House of Representatives today passed by a vote of 219- 203, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (H.R. 734), a bill that will guarantee the 50-year-old promise of Title IX to today’s female athletes. Eagle Forum supports the right of biological females to participate in girls’ only athletics at all levels and applauds the actions of the House today.

Women’s History Month

Non-Binary History Month?

March has been deemed Women’s History Month, but it seems that the only ones who truly celebrate women are conservatives. Liberals in Congress have pushed forward policies that erase women by allowing biological men in their private spaces and sports, demeaning motherhood, and separating moms from their children.

The Equal Rights Amendment – a Two Century Fraud on American Women

The ERA is dead and rightly so. It’s clear the ERA is bad for women. It ERAses women at the expense of creating “equality”. The rights of American women are protected not only by the 14th Amendment’s equal protection guarantee but by Title IX, the Equal Opportunity Act of 1963, the Equal Employment Opportunity Discrimination Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and the Equal Pay Act.

Act Now to Protect Women and Girls

After fifty years of Title IX protecting women’s and girls’ access to education, sports, and privacy, the Biden administration is erasing what it means to be female and turning Title IX on its head. The Department of Education decided to change the definition of ‘sex’ to include sexual orientation and gender identity.

Now is a great time to make an end-of-the-year donation to Eagle Forum that will allow us to continue the important work we do not only in Washington, D.C. but throughout the nation.

Are Pants a Constitutional Right?

Charter schools offer the promise of choice in education, but since these schools are funded by taxpayer money, then these schools can never be independent. In North Carolina, the Charter Day School lost a lawsuit (Peltier v. Charter Day School) about their dress code, because the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the school is a “state actor” and requiring girls to wear skirts violates both the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution and Title IX.

Protect Women’s Sports!

The 50th anniversary of Title IX is a perfect time to rally to protect women’s sports teams as a place for biological females to compete against one another and to participate on women’s athletic teams. Opportunities for girls and women to play sports have expanded because of Title IX, and Eagle Forum celebrates the athletic advances that have benefited all women – from the professional athletes to those who just want to play for fun and exercise.

GOP Senators Push “Equality” Agenda

Just six months after several Republican Senators were shamed for putting a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to force women into the selective service, they did it again. Seven Republicans out of the thirteen GOP members on the Senate Armed Services Committee voted in favor of requiring women ages 18-25 to register for the draft.
