The Killing in South Carolina

Why was Walter Scott running away from a policeman who tried to stop him because of a broken tail light? The media are trying to make a South Carolina policeman’s killing of a black man, Walter Scott, another sensational case of racism, but the media have missed the point of the tragedy.

What Will the Court Do To Marriage?

If you get your news primarily from entertainment shows or social media, you might think that same-sex marriage has already been recognized as a constitutional right. In fact, the Supreme Court held just the opposite in 1972 and has since refused several opportunities to revisit that ruling.

Her letter published by the Minnesota Star Tribune on December 4 was eloquent, so I quote it verbatim.

Feds Banish Sex Stereotypes in Classrooms

The Obama Administration is now trying to outlaw single-sex classrooms, a practice that has been growing as parents and teachers see its good results. The Obama Administration is discouraging that option in conformity with demands by the feminists who believe in the interchangeability of the genders and insist that schools forbid any deviation from their peculiar belief that there is no difference between male and female.
