St. Louis, MO: In her nationally syndicated column on September 15, 2015, Phyllis Schlafly correctly identified that “an open-door policy towards Syrian refugees would be dangerous and costly for American communities.” She has been proven correct. Not only would this skyrocket an incredible financial burden on the United States, but the safety concerns are very grave as well.
“Phyllis Schlafly has been raising the alarm over the feckless immigration policy of this President and how it threatens American families, jobs and our security,” said Eagle Forum president Ed Martin. “Her column from nearly two months ago was absolutely on the mark in identifying problems that arise from a carte blanche acceptance of tens of thousands of refugees from the Middle East.”
Martin continued, “This summer the U.S. experienced wave after wave of illegal immigrants and supposed ‘refugees’ crossing our southern border. We already have a severe security problem that needs to be dealt with, and admitting tens of thousands more refugees that we have no credible way to background check will just add even more threats to our families here on American soil. Phyllis Schlafly was right, as usual, and I hope that Americans, especially our elected representatives, are listening to her now.”
