Eagle Forum Endorses Carl Wimmer in Utah's New Congressional District
Washington, D.C. — Eagle Forum PAC, a conservative public policy organization founded by pro-family leader Phyllis Schlafly, is proud to endorse Carl Wimmer in the race to represent Utah's new Congressional District.
"Carl Wimmer will be an outstanding Congressman," said Utah Eagle Forum State President Gayle Ruzicka. "As a member of the Utah Legislature he not only voted for, but he sponsored and passed several pro-life bills. Carl is a strong defender of the family and serves as the chairman of the Family Action Council Team, Utah's pro-family coalition. We can always count on Carl to stand for correct principles."
"Over the last five years Utah has raised taxes three times." Ruzicka noted. "Only a tiny fraction of legislators had the courage to stand against the pressures of house and party leadership, and tell them that government will have to do without! Carl Wimmer was one of these 1%-ers."
"In Utah it is easy to find conservative voters and candidates who say the right things, it is more difficult, however, to find people who stand up and fight for conservative causes," Ruzicka observed. "Carl has fought, and he has the political scars to prove it. He has been tested and has come through more principled than ever. We need leaders like Carl Wimmer in Washington."
Eagle Forum founder and president, Phyllis Schlafly noted, "Carl is committed to protecting life and marriage, and to keeping taxes low and creating jobs for American families. We look forward to working with him in the next Congress."
Eagle Forum PAC supports candidates who are committed to a conservative philosophy of limited government, national sovereignty and traditional values.
