Massachusetts: A Model Not to Copy
The Obama-Kennedy health plan is modeled after the Massachusetts plan which, when adopted, many applauded as innovative and destined for success. In fact, the Massachusetts plan has been a massive failure and is a model for what not to do. 7-03-09
Obama's Health Care Reform in Trouble
Barack Obama's high-speed train to Socialism was knocked off track by a surprising source: the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Just as the Senate HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor and Pensions) was about to begin voting on Chairman Ted Kennedy's (D-MA) health care plan (which Obama had let be known was his favorite), CBO released a report that this plan would cost at least a trillion dollars and still leave 36 million people uninsured through 2017. 6-26-09
Why Women Are Unhappy
The National Bureau of Economic Research released a study to be published soon in the American Economic Journal that shows women's happiness has measurably declined since 1970. It's no surprise that this has stimulated much comment. 6-19-09
High Costs of Obama's Health Care Plan
President Obama's drive for government health care began in earnest on Saturday, June 6 in thousands of neighborhood House Meetings where his supporters listened to his sales talk via a video on the internet and participated in a live conference call. Those who attended were given their orders to reach out to neighbors, knock on doors, and build a grassroots network to force Congress to pass the legislation "the same way we won the election, building support one block, one neighbor, one conversation at a time." 6-12-09
Obama Is Remaking America Into Socialism
The younger generation probably doesn't realize that the word Socialism means and connotes a system that is profoundly un-American. 6-05-09
Harold Koh Is Too Dangerous for America
Does Barack Obama really want to make Americans subject to foreign law and courts? That is the question Senators should ask when they vote on his nomination of Harold Hongju Koh, former dean of the Yale Law School, to be the top lawyer at the State Department.

ACORN Should Not Receive Taxpayers' Money
Several prominent non-Republicans and ex-Republicans have been all over the media giving advice to Republicans about how they should re-brand themselves and which issues they should talk about. Among this unsolicited advice is that Republicans should stop criticizing ACORN. 5-22-09
Don't Fall for Cap and Tax
Barack Obama promised that he won't raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year. He neglected to mention that this tax exemption will go only to those who don't use electricity, gasoline, heating oil, or natural gas. 5-15-09
David Souter's Departure
On his 100th day in office, President Barack Obama started campaigning for reelection in 2012. He went to a small town in Missouri, a red state he didn't carry last year, and boasted that "we've begun the work of remaking America." 5-08-09
How Young Engineers and Our Economy Are Betrayed
The Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons football team, was recently crowded with cheering fans and adrenaline-filled competitors. A thrilling competition crowned new champions. But this was not a football game. It was a robotics competition for high school students interested in engineering, a program that now attracts about 200,000 student-competitors and nearly 100,000 volunteers. 5-01-09
Ginsburg's Judicial Activism Goes International
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wasn't dozing off when she appeared recently at a symposium at Ohio State University's School of Law. Credited with writing several feminist precepts into U.S. constitutional law based on the spurious notion that our Constitution is a "living" (i.e., re-interpretable) document, she now wants to expand that process to welcome foreign law. 4-24-09
Yes, Marriage Can Be Saved From the Gay Lobby
Since the April defeats for traditional marriage in the Iowa Supreme Court, the Vermont legislature, and the Washington, D.C. city council, Americans in the other 48 states are quietly stress-testing their legal defenses against the spread of legalized same-sex marriage. 4-17-09
College Student Alert: Beware of One-Party Classrooms
How can we explain continued public support for Barack Obama's extremist spending plans, even though it is painfully obvious that his much touted "remaking America" means mortgaging the financial future of young people with trillions of dollars in debt? Are the American people really willing to let the government be our nanny, manage our economy, federalize our schools, decide which businesses can keep their doors open, what health care we will be permitted, who will get new jobs, and how extravagant will be the foreign handouts as Obama "rejoins the world community"? 4-10-09
Will the Real Secretary Geithner Please Stand Up?
Does Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner favor replacing the U.S. dollar with a global currency, or doesn't he? Or, as Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) pointedly asked on Sean Hannity's program, "Which Tim Geithner do we believe?" 4-03-09
Global Warming Is Running Out of Hot Air
The coldest winter in a decade in many places, with snow in unlikely cities such as New Orleans, has deflated some of the hot air in global warming. And a heavy snowfall that paralyzed Washington, DC upstaged a mass demonstration scheduled to promote global warming. 3-27-09
Republicans Can't Afford to Default to Obama
Republicans are still awestruck at how Barack Obama was able to get every Democrat in the House and Senate to vote for his Stimulus package despite opinion polls showing impressive public opposition. The answer is Obama's use of his years of training in Saul Alinsky-style community organizing combined with 21st-century technology. 3-20-09
E-Verify Is a "Shovel-Ready" Solution
"Never let a serious crisis go to waste." With that pithy motto, coined last November by White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, President Obama has committed over four trillion dollars of America's wealth to further his goal of "remaking America" along the lines of socialist Europe. 3-13-09
The Court's One-Two Punch
Dwight Eisenhower reportedly admitted that he made two big mistakes as President: his two appointments to the Supreme Court, Earl Warren and William Brennan. One day it might be said that George W. Bush got two things right as President: his two appointments to the Supreme Court, John Roberts and Sam Alito. 3-06-09
Obama's Stimulus
Under the subterfuge of helping the economy, Barack Obama's Stimulus legislates vast new spending programs to finance liberal policy goals that are unnecessary and undesirable. The flow of taxpayers' money will be so gargantuan as to make Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society expansion of the welfare state look puny.

Obama Gives What the Doctor Did Not Order
Barack Obama forced a bitter pill down the throats of Americans which the doctor did not order and patients do not want. Obama snuck into the stimulus bill a new system for rationing medical care, and he got Congress to ram it through the House and Senate without reading it. 2-20-09
Obama's Picks Don't Change the Culture in Washington
President Barack Obama has indeed made history. His selections for his Cabinet and other top government offices make a mockery of his much publicized campaign promises to give us "the most sweeping ethics reform in history" and to "close the revolving door" to lobbyists. 2-13-09
Community Organizing Explained
Immediately after the Democratic National Convention in Colorado, the Boston Globe published a letter from L. David Alinsky. He boasted about how Barack Obama had made extremely effective use of his training in the methods of David's late father, the famous Chicago radical, Saul D. Alinsky. 2-06-09
Feminists Expect to Cash in With Barack Obama
The groups that elected Barack Obama are poised to cash in on their investment and the feminists are muscling to be first in line. The National Organization for Women (NOW), bragging that "we all worked hard to help elect" Obama, has helpfully spelled out the "feminist action agenda": 1-30-09
1993 All Over Again
Faced with 24/7 obamamania on the media, the 60 million Americans who did not vote for Barack Obama are wondering where we go from here. Will events turn out like 1993, when another liberal president was inaugurated with the support of big majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate? 1-23-09
Barack's Bailout for Trial Lawyers
The jobless rate just hit its highest level in 16 years: 7.2 percent, which means more than 11 million Americans are unemployed. So the Democratic House responded by passing two bills making it more costly to hire workers. 1-16-09
Keeping Our American Identity
Can you name the three branches of American government, legislative, executive, and judicial? If so, you are among the one-half of Americans who know this very basic fact about the U.S. government and Constitution. 1-09-09
Public Schools Change Young Evangelicals' Values
Why did 18-to-29-year-old evangelicals vote for Barack Obama despite his apostasy on the fundamental moral issues of abortion and same-sex unions? They voted 32 percent for Obama, twice the percentage of that demographic group who voted for John Kerry in 2004. 1-02-09
