One of the last vestiges of Missouri's original gambling laws has survived to live another year.
And soon, it may be more important than ever as Missouri's casinos face increased competition from neighboring states.
The $500 loss limit — the one unique aspect of Missouri gambling — was threatened during the recent legislative session, but survived with the help of maneuvering by anti-gambling lawmakers.
