Let's Protect American Jobs
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" is an old verse that just isn't true. Indeed, words can hurt, break up marriages, destroy careers, and defeat political candidates.
Even words out of one's own mouth can be destructive. We recall such bloopers as presidential candidate George Romney self-destructing his 1968 presidential candidacy with the word "brainwashing," or Gerald Ford losing in 1976 after saying "there is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe," or Richard Nixon pleading "I am not a crook."

I am a Pat Buchanan conservative. I worked for Pat, and he represents my true heart. However I am giving money to Ron Paul lately, and supporting him because I agree with Ron Paul and Buchanan on the foreign policy front. I think both parties and the press have been bought for chump change, when you consider that the lobby gets to control the armed might of the worlds only remaining superpower. The propaganda about the terrible world wide caliphate is a drum beat. I think Ron Paul is too free trade for my taste, but I so want to put a shot across the bow of the "lobby" that I can't help supporting Ron Paul. I like lots of the constitutional message, and I don't have too many reservations about supporting him except I am not sure he is sensitive enough to argue for the hapless American worker against unrestrained forces of world capitalism arrayed against him/her. I don't want a world market for labor where we are paid on a parity with China or India or Africa. and if that makes me a terrible protectionist or mercantilist, so be it. Pat speaks for me on this. The death grip of the lobby on the countries media and political parties though make me root for Ron Paul. He won't win but he will maybe make some people think if he wins New Hampshire. Robertson and the pro war pro Israel evangelicals will stop in in South Carolina, like the stopped Buchanan in 96.
