Phyllis Schlafly joins lineup of columnists
Legendary culture warrior fresh off Values Voter Debate panel
Phyllis Schlafly, longtime culture warrior and commentator, joins WorldNetDaily's cadre of weekly columnists today.
Schlafly recently brought her take-no-prisoners style and effectiveness to the Values Voter Presidential Debate panel of questioners, asking the candidates about the Security and Prosperity Partnership and amnesty for illegal aliens.
"Phyllis Schlafly is a personal heroine of mine – as well as a personal friend," commented WND Editor Joseph Farah. "For my money, she should have been Ronald Reagan's vice president and successor in 1988. If she had been, this country would be a lot better off today." WorldNetDaily.com, September 21, 2007

And not one of the top-tier GOP candidates showed up at the Values Voter Debate. Why? Because they know that nearly all values voters will blindly support the GOP nominee, as they always do. So why should they worry about what we want?
We refuse to consider solid conservative third-party candidates, lest we "waste" our vote. If a pro-choice, pro-gay rights, pro-gun control candidate like Giuliani ends up winning the nomination, I bet most values voters will support him, in the name of picking "the lesser of two evils."
Until we're willing to make the GOP **lose** an elecion for failing to take us seriously, we're going to continue to be snubbed by the GOP establishment.
