Lott's support of immigration bill draws protesters by Mississippi Eagle Forum members

The Clarion-Ledger reports that "[m]ore than a dozen protesters gathered outside Sen. Trent Lott's office in downtown Jackson today expressing their opposition to a bill that would legalize millions of immigrants if passed. The Mississippi Federation for Immigration Reform and Enforcement and the Eagle Forum of Mississippi joined together to organize the protest. Rodney Hunt, MFIRE president, said the bill is an important issue for Mississippi because about 120,000 illegal immigrants live in the state." 5-31-07.

Mississippi Eagle Forum member Dot Ward reports that there were about 60 people at the protest.
