Equal Rights for the Unborn in Kansas

The bill, "Alexa's Law," will allow the state of Kansas to charge those who kill an unborn baby with murder. The bill was stuck in a Senate committee until supporters found a way to bypass the committee process and get it to the floor of the Senate. The Senate approved "Alexa's Law" and it will move to the House after spring break. The bill is named after a murdered teenager’s unborn child. Associated Press, 3-28-07.

  • I worked with Alexa's great grandmother. Our "unborn" children need to be recognized as children, potential adults, with the same rights that adults expect.
